Abner Studio · MumbaiFounded in 2015 as Lightworx by Shashank Nayak, Abner was built to fill a clear gap: premium architectural lighting that meets global standards of material integrity without compromising on contextual performance.
We study how light interacts with concrete, Spanish alabaster, and marble — how stone diffuses it, how density shapes it. From sculptural pendants to weather-resistant landscape luminaires: European design sensibilities, deep Indian expertise.

Shashank Nayak founded Abner in 2015 with a conviction: that the Indian market deserved lighting uncompromised in material integrity, finish, and reliability. With over two decades exploring how light shapes perception and interacts with materials, his first landmark project at JW Marriott, Juhu set the practice's standard.
Today, he leads a 30-member team collaborating with 100+ designers across India, having executed 1,000+ projects spanning residential, retail, and hospitality. Under his direction, Abner introduced concrete, Spanish alabaster, and marble-based exterior lighting to the Indian market — building toward a fully integrated manufacturing ecosystem in India.
